Nokia 5510 review
Network and connections
A cell phone from 2001, Nokia 5510 is a model with a rather limited range of connectivity. It is in fact a simple Dual Band as far as GSM networks are concerned, and the 900 and 1800 Mhz frequencies it operates on make it usable only in Europe. In addition to these networks there is exclusively a Wap browser, which at least allows access to the Internet, limited to pages compatible with the system.
Design and features
Very distinctive in design, this is Nokia's attempt (which was not particularly successful) to "rotate" the phone: it actually has a Qwerty keyboard that makes it usable horizontally, with the long side as the base. The display is monochrome with 5 lines of text, and stays at the center of the body, surrounded by the two parts of the keyboard. It integrates a 950 mAh battery with 260 hours or 4.5 hours of battery life (stand-by or talk time). It weighs 155 grams and has dimensions of 134x58x28 millimeters. Available in two colors: Groove Red or Melody Blue.
Main functions
35 monophonic ringtones with the possibility of composing 7 more thanks to the Composer on Nokia 5510. 64 MB of internal memory that allow storage of 150 SMS, 50 picture messages, or even 220 calendar notes. Voice Dial can only be applied to 8 selected contacts in the phonebook. The phonebook holds up to 100 numbers. The last 8 calls made, received, or missed are remembered.
Entertainment and multimedia
Considering the period in which it was introduced, the Nokia 5510 cell phone offers a praiseworthy set of additional entertainment tools. Starting with an MP3 player that also serves as a recorder. And going as far as Stereo FM radio for listening to your favorite stations. There is no camera but there are 5 built-in games (Snake II, Bantumi, Space Impact, Bumpers and Pairs II), to which others can be added via download.
