Network and connections
A complete cell phone, able to satisfy the needs of a wide audience. The network receiver it is equipped with is a GSM Quadband, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. UMTS support is also present, to take advantage of advanced network features, thanks also to the HSDPA modem. The dedicated HTML browser allows you to open pages without any problems. To connect to other devices, in order to exchange files easily and quickly, you can use Bluetooth. There is also a USB 2.0 data cable for connecting to your home PC.
Design and features
Simple, unassuming shapes make the structure of the ZTE F233 compact and discreet. The thickness is in fact 19 mm, for a weight of 90 grams. The body is a clamshell, openable thanks to a sturdy hinge. Inside is the standard alphanumeric keypad and the main display. It is a 2-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 262,000 colors. Another screen is present on the front, smaller with CSTN technology, useful for displaying basic information. The sales package also includes a headset.
Main features
The proprietary platform is quite complete, with a contacts address book, appointment agenda, calendar, calculator and alarm clock. Java support also allows you to install compatible utilities, so you can customize the device according to your needs. Predictive text support is very helpful when composing text, making it easy to handle SMS, MMS and E-mail. You can also view attachments in Office and PDF formats. As for the telephone side, the F233 offers speakerphone, voice recorder and video calling support.
Entertainment and multimedia
To round out the range of applications, entertainment tools are also present. For example, you can listen to your favorite songs thanks to the dedicated media player. It also plays videos in various formats. To capture important moments there is instead a camera, with a resolution of 2 megapixels. It comes with digital zoom and dedicated functions. The available internal memory is expandable up to 8 GB via microSD cards. The battery life of the 830 mAh battery is good.
