Vodafone 235 review
Network and connections
The Vodafone 235 is a carrier-branded cell phone aimed at an audience looking for a simple and essential device. It has a GSM Dualband receiver, which guarantees good coverage but only at a local level, without providing support for international travel. It is not possible to browse Wap, as it lacks an internal modem and support for GPRS connections. However, Bluetooth is present for exchanging files with compatible devices, which proves really useful in many situations.
Design and features
The Vodafone 235 is a very compact cell phone, with a contained weight and designed for great portability. The Candybar structure features elegant lines and rounded edges, which provide greater security and ergonomics in the grip. The weight of just 68 grams is really excellent, as is the thickness of 13.5 mm. On the front side the large and bright display stands out, with a resolution of 128x128 pixel CSTN, able to display up to 65,000 colors. Below it are some function keys and the directional pad. All in a truly classic and clean style, offering from the first impression an idea of simplicity in use.
Main features
The proprietary platform offers truly basic functionality. It is in fact equipped with an integrated speakerphone and an output for connecting the earphone, for always safe driving in the car or for more privacy in conversation. Moving on to management utilities, there are the alarm clock, the agenda for managing appointments, a phonebook with contact management, and a calculator. Support for predictive text helps to quickly write SMS, but MMS and E-mail are not supported.
Entertainment and multimedia
The entertainment capabilities of this Vodafone-branded device can only rely on the installed games. In fact, there is no digital camera, nor a multimedia player to play audio or video files. In short, a phone with an extremely low cost, focused on practicality and ease of use. The 680 mAh lithium battery, however, guarantees excellent operating autonomy, up to 270 hours in Stand-by.
