TIM Series X Black review
Network and connections
The TIM Series X Black is a carrier-branded phone characterized by a quality/price ratio in the Entry Level range, developed in collaboration with Sagem. In terms of technical features, it is in fact a Dualband phone, able to use the 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies. This way it is able to offer fairly good network coverage, albeit at a local level. Internet browsing is not available, due to the lack of dedicated support. Bluetooth wireless support is also absent.
Design and features
This device is a compact ultra-thin phone, with a Candybar monoblock body. It features elegant lines and rounded edges, which provide greater security and ergonomics in the grip. The dimensions are kept compact precisely to offer comfortable mobility, with a thickness of 10 mm and a weight of just 70 grams. On the front stands out the large and bright display, with a resolution of 128x160 pixels and able to display up to 65,000 colors. Below it are some function keys and the directional pad, as well as the standard alphanumeric keyboard.
Main features
Despite the TIM Series X Black being a decidedly competitive device, the basic features available are complete. It is in fact equipped with an integrated speakerphone, a voice recorder, and support for multi-conference calls as far as the voice sector is concerned. A particular feature is the possibility of setting an Avatar for caller ID. Continuing with management utilities, there are the alarm clock, the phonebook with contact management, a calculator, and a currency converter. The predictive text support instead helps to quickly write text for SMS messages.
Entertainment and multimedia
A phone absolutely dedicated to an audience that prefers ease of use. This explains the lack of tools dedicated to entertainment, such as an mp3 player and a digital camera. The only musical note is given by the possibility of setting polyphonic ringtones. There are also small preinstalled games, to be used during moments of relaxation. The battery supplied in the package is 670 mAh and guarantees an operating autonomy of up to 250 hours in Stand-by.
