TIM One Touch COLOR View review
Network and connections
Consumers are increasingly looking for devices customized to their own needs. Here, an audience with limited spending power can find in this TIM One Touch Color View a fairly complete device, with a good investment compromise. The network receiver is a Dualband, capable of operating on the 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies; this provides good signal coverage, although it is not compatible with all areas of the world. Data traffic is handled via GPRS, allowing basic Internet browsing. Bluetooth is also present, convenient for communicating with compatible devices, in addition to the USB 2.0 output.
Design and features
The simple but dynamic lines of this phone make it suitable for any situation. The coloring is distinctive, to give a touch of novelty and freshness. The body is a classic Clamshell, with a hinged opening that allows the keyboard and display to be closed inside for greater protection. Opening it indeed reveals the 65,000-color TFT screen and the standard alphanumeric keyboard. A convenient clickable directional pad allows for easy menu navigation. The dimensions are in line with the main competitors: 19.6 mm thick and 73 grams in weight. A matching Bluetooth headset is included in the package.
Main features
Proprietary software usually offers complete and functional operations. Here too, there are contacts, calendar, calculator and currency converter, as well as alarm clock and stopwatch. Support for predictive text input is absolutely excellent for quickly composing SMS and multimedia messages. The voice aspect is also complete, thanks to good-quality speakerphone, call alert with vibration and support for multi-conferencing.
Entertainment and multimedia
An absolutely positive note in this One Touch Color View model is the presence of the camera. It has a VGA resolution, poor compared to the now more widespread models, but still convenient for taking a few photos when needed. As for the musical aspect, radio broadcasts can be received, thanks to the AM/FM antenna with RDS function. Ringtones can be managed as desired, thanks to polyphonic support. Battery life is excellent, with autonomy of up to 350 hours in Stand-by.
