Telit Pilu review

Network and connections
As always Telit offers phones that are not too demanding on the economic side, but able to satisfy with complete and easy-to-use functions. Starting to talk about the technical characteristics, we can say that the Pilù model is equipped with a Dualband GSM receiver, capable of working on the frequencies of 900 and 1800 MHz. Signal coverage is good even though it does not allow international travel. It is also possible to browse the Internet, thanks to the internal modem and the WAP browser, which make use of the GPRS protocol for data traffic. To exchange files with other devices you can use the USB 2.0 cable, but Bluetooth support is absent.

Design and features
At first glance the phone appears compact and very easy to handle, to guarantee uncompromising portability. Considering that it is a vertical Slider phone, the dimensions are not bad at all. On the front is the screen, a 1.4-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. On the inner part, however, is the keypad, a standard numeric one with keys that are comfortable to use. The sales package includes stereo earphones, the data cable and a handy 512 MB memory card.

Main features
A simple and undemanding phone, aimed above all at a young audience or in any case one without particular demands. However, the Telit Pilù is able to offer complete functions, such as a contacts address book, an agenda for appointments, alarm clock, calculator and stopwatch. Writing text messages is very easy, also thanks to support for the eZi Text predictive writing system, which turns out to be a little slow though. In this way you can manage SMS and multimedia messages without any problems. The voice section, on the other hand, offers speakerphone and the possibility of making multi-conference calls.

Entertainment and multimedia
To complete the offering this phone has been equipped with a camera, with a VGA resolution of 640x480 pixels. Image quality is not high, but it still allows you to take photographs when needed, or record short videos. The available memory is expandable via microSD type cards. In this way you can also carry your favorite songs with you, to be played back without any problems through the multimedia player. You can also listen to AM/FM radio broadcasts. Java support also allows you to install compatible games.
