T-Mobile Tap review

Network and connections
A new phone for T-Mobile, dedicated to a wide audience thanks to its versatility of use. The Tap is equipped with a GSM Quadband network receiver, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. Signal coverage is optimal in any condition, also thanks to UMTS support. To browse the Internet there is an internal modem with HSDPA technology. The HTML browser will therefore be able to quickly display Web pages. However, the Wi-Fi antenna for distributed networks is absent. The convenient Bluetooth for data transfer is present, as well as USB support.

Design and features
The clean and polished style gives the Tap a simple look. The edges are rounded to ensure an optimal grip in any situation. The dimensions remain compact, offering handling without compromises: 12.7 mm thick for 105 grams of weight. The front part houses the screen, a 2.8 inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. Furthermore it is equipped with Touch Screen technology, for an even more precise touch to manage your device. Just below is a convenient directional pad, together with two keys for managing calls.

Main features
The platform for this phone is proprietary to the manufacturer, but complete and functional right from the basic configuration. Java support also allows you to install software as desired, in order to best customize your device. The classic management tools are present, such as contact list, organizer, alarm clock and calculator. With intuitive writing it is possible to quickly compose short messages but also more detailed E-mails. The Office and PDF document readers allow you to view their attachments. For telephone functions there are the hands-free, the voice recorder and support for video calling.

Entertainment and multimedia
An excellent tool also for leisure time needs. The built-in camera has a resolution of 2 megapixels, allowing you to get good images in any condition, also thanks to dedicated functions. The memory available to the user is expandable via convenient microSD cards. The multimedia player instead offers the possibility of faithfully reproducing your favorite audio and video files. The GPS receiver is interesting, to integrate satellite functions, for example turning the T-Mobile Tap into a navigator. One hoped for something more for battery life, limited to 240 hours in Stand-by.
