Network and connections
A device born from the collaboration with the famous satellite navigation company Garmin. This is the T-Mobile Garminfone, appealing and dedicated especially to those seeking convenience and functionality during every trip. It is equipped with a GSM Quadband receiver, capable of delivering incredible reliability in network coverage. This is also thanks to UMTS support, which allows the device to operate in Dual Mode. Naturally, optimization for Web browsing is not missing, thanks to the fast HSDPA modem and the HTML browser. It is also possible to connect to distributed networks thanks to Wi-Fi support. Absolutely convenient are the supports for connecting to other devices, such as Bluetooth and the USB 2.0 cable.
Design and features
The exterior look of this device is simple, with rounded lines on the edges to ensure greater comfort in the grip. The upper part is occupied by the display, a 3.5-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. It is also equipped with Capacitive Touch Screen technology, for optimal management of any content, also thanks to a clickable directional pad. Just below are keys dedicated to the main and management functions. The dimensions are fairly compact, 12 mm thick with a weight of 136 grams.
Main features
The Grminfone is geared towards enjoying content from the Internet. Indeed, the classic Google services are available, YouTube, Google Talk for instant conversations and many other applications. Or again Facebook, Flickr and Instant Messaging. Basic features such as a contacts list and a calendar for appointments are certainly not missing. It is also possible to download new Open Source software directly from the network, to best customize your device. The operating system is therefore Google's Android. On the voice side, it offers speakerphone, voice recorder and support for video calling.
Entertainment and multimedia
This Smartphone is absolutely complete and functional, even for leisure moments. Here then is a 3.2 megapixel camera, capable of delivering excellent quality photographs. It can count on dedicated functions such as autofocus, Zoom and image adjustment. The 4 GB internal memory allows for excellent storage capacity; however, for the more demanding users it is possible to use microSD cards for expansion up to 32 GB. There is also a multimedia player, so you can always have your favorite music or videos with you. Furthermore, this Garminfone is equipped with a GPS receiver, to be used as a satellite navigator, managed by Garmin software, also optimized for walking navigation.
