Network and connections


Sony Ericsson Z610i is a "Tri-band" and "Dual Mode" cell phone. With this device you can communicate on the GSM frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz. Data connectivity is of the UMTS type, therefore high-speed, and GPRS (class 10). Z610i is also equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology for maximum wireless versatility. The infrared communication system (IrDa) is absent, while, through the appropriate USB cable, it is possible to connect the phone to a personal computer for content synchronization. Both the displays and the supplied lithium battery are good.



Design and features


This is a phone with a compact and elegant design, with a clamshell opening. It is a particularly sturdy and well finished model, with an integrated antenna and great handiness. This model is on sale in the pleasant white color with a blue outer shell. In any case, it is not possible to change its appearance with interchangeable covers. The clamshell opening allows good protection of the internal part comprising the keypad and the main display. Inside there is a numeric keypad, with large-sized keys.



Main features


Sony Ericsson Z610i offers "multiconferencing" and advanced third generation services, such as video calling. Voice-command calling is also supported, as well as the recording of brief sound Memos. As for messaging, this model supports all the main formats. In fact, it is possible to manage and send Sms, Ems, Mms and E-mail messages, including "video messages", with the added support of the predictive text system. Memory is 16 MB and can be further expanded via Memory Stick Micro cards. Z610i is also equipped with an alarm clock function and an internal organizer.



Entertainment and multimedia


This model offers polyphonic ringtones, MP3 format melodies and a handy image editor. In addition, support for Java (J2ME) technology allows new games to be installed, in addition to those already present, even by downloading them from the network with the browser included. Sony Ericsson Z610i has two built-in cameras. The first, the external one, has a resolution of 2 Megapixels and allows you to capture excellent quality photographs, at a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The other, instead, faces the inside of the device and is used mainly for video calls. The main camera is also equipped with 2x digital zoom and allows video sequence recording.
