Sony Ericsson Z250i review

Network and connections
This is a GSM Triband device, which therefore supports the 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies. However, it is not able to take advantage of UMTS networks. This model is designed to offer complete, albeit basic, functionality. It is therefore possible to surf the Internet, thanks to the internal GPRS modem and the WAP browser. The USB output allows the device to be connected directly to a home PC, but Bluetooth for wireless data transfers is not present.

Design and equipment
The Sony Ericsson Z250i shows off a simple and clean design, with a clamshell opening and satin finish surfaces. This way the feel to the touch is really good, as is the grip thanks to the rounded edges. Inside is the CSTN display, with a resolution of 128x160 pixels, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. The device's dimensions are compact, 19.5 mm thick for a weight of 90 grams. In the sales package you can only find the earphones as accessories.

Main features
The functions offered by the Z250i are absolutely complete, starting with the phone functions which include, among others, the integrated speakerphone, vibration, the recorder and voice commands. There is no shortage of many more common functions such as the phonebook for complete contact management, the calendar for appointments, the alarm clock, the stopwatch and the ability to write notes. As for messaging, the phone supports SMS text messages and MMS multimedia messages, while E-mail cannot be managed.

Entertainment and multimedia
The qualities concerning the entertainment segment are also noteworthy. The Z250i is in fact equipped with an external camera with VGA resolution. It allows you to capture images or short videos when needed, without however being able to expect high quality. The available memory allows you to store 10 MB of data. It is therefore clear how it is impossible to save favorite music and videos, also lacking a dedicated media player. Finally, battery life is satisfactory, about 300 hours in Stand-by.
