Sony Ericsson Yari review
Network and connections
A decidedly complete and high-quality phone, offered by Sony Ericsson on the market. The Yari is a GSM Quadband, capable of guaranteeing perfect coverage in any part of the world, thanks also to UMTS support. The Dual Mode functionality therefore allows you to take advantage of additional network services. To browse the Web you can use the HTML browser, with data traffic management in HSDPA. This way you can reach high speeds when opening Internet pages. Excellent for communicating directly with other devices is Bluetooth support, which allows you to wirelessly exchange files of any kind. There is also the USB 2.0 data cable output, handy for syncing with your home PC.
Design and equipment
A dynamic and young style, without giving up elegant and refined tones such as the chrome finishes on the edges. It adapts well to any context, thanks to its compact dimensions: 15.7 mm thick and a weight of 115 grams. The body opens with a vertical Slider movement, thus freeing the standard alphanumeric keyboard inside. On the front instead you find the screen, a 2.4-inch QVGA, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. Just below is a multifunction directional pad, for easily managing every content. Included in the purchase package are a data cable, headphones and a handy 1 GB memory card.

The predictive text support allows you to easily compose text messages and E-mails, complete with management of Office and PDF attachments. Java support also allows you to install new compatible applications, so you can better customize your device. The phone aspect is complete, with speakerphone, voice recorder and multi-conference support. A dedicated front camera also allows you to make video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
Let's now touch on a topic for which this Sony Ericsson Yari really stands out. It is in fact an excellent gaming device: Gesture Gaming recognizes the user's movements through a dedicated camera, for an ever more exciting interaction. There are already many games available in the standard version, but you can also check out the content of PlayNow Arena. The Yari also performs well as a media player, faithfully playing back audio and video files saved in the large memory, expandable up to 16 GB with microSD cards. Taking photos and recording videos is child's play, thanks to the installed 5 megapixel camera. It offers dedicated functions to best optimize every shot, such as smile recognition, Face Detection and Geo-Tagging. The integrated GPS receiver allows you to take advantage of satellite applications. Battery life is also excellent, lasting up to 450 hours in Stand-by.
