Sony Ericsson Jalou review
Network and connections
Some call it a jewel, others an absolutely fashionable and classy accessory, the Jalou by Sony Ericsson also known as Bijou. Starting from the technical features, one immediately finds an excellent predisposition to quality, with GSM Quadband and the ability to operate in Dual Mode to also support UMTS networks. This way the signal will always be excellent anywhere in the world. An internal modem with HSDPA data traffic management allows for fast Internet browsing. The HTML browser will be able to quickly open any Web page. There's also Bluetooth for exchanging files with other devices, and the USB output to sync with your home PC.
Design and features
What certainly immediately strikes the observer is the particular design of the Sony Ericsson Jalou. It seems to have been born from an "En Ciseaux" cut of a gem, with a squared shape and sharp lines. The dimensions are decidedly compact, with 18.2 mm of thickness and only 84 grams of weight, considering the clamshell structure. Opening the case reveals the display inside, a 240x320 pixel TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. Images are sharp and bright, and are automatically rotated on the screen based on orientation, thanks to the accelerometer. Also inside is the standard alphanumeric keyboard, with keys whose design echoes the sharp shapes.

Apparently this device is equipped with the Symbian platform, known for ease of use and compatibility with numerous expansion applications. Entertainment and multimedia
The offering dedicated to the entertainment sector is also complete. A tool used on a daily basis must prove effective in every situation. Here's where the digital camera comes in, allowing you to capture the best moments thanks to the 3.2 megapixel optics. It also allows you to record short videos complete with audio. The multimedia player is excellent for playing your favorite music and videos. There's also the radio tuner, for receiving AM/FM broadcasts, complete with RDS function. In conclusion, it's worth mentioning the presence of the GPS receiver, to integrate Geo-Tagging functions into photos taken, as well as a satellite navigator.
