Sony Ericsson Elm GreenHeart review

Network and connections
The new Elm GreenHearth phone from Sony Ericsson offers design and environmental care, launched on the market together with its relative, the Hazel. With the latter it shares almost all of its technical and functional features. Starting with the technical specifications, we find the Quadband GSM receiver, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. It guarantees optimal signal coverage, also thanks to UMTS support. For browsing the Internet, nothing is faster than HSDPA technology, which allows speeds equal to home ADSL to be reached. The HTML browser will thus be able to easily open any Web page. Furthermore, distributed networks can be exploited, thanks to the Wi-Fi antenna. Bluetooth and USB output are also present.

Design and features
The style of this Elm GreenHearth is interesting, clean, discreet but with a touch that manages to give it something exclusive. At first glance one immediately notices the particular curved shape of the Candybar body. The front, on the other hand, has decisive and simple lines, which clearly delimit the function keys with the keypad and the directional pad from the screen. The latter is a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. The dimensions are compact, with a thickness of 14 mm and a weight of 90 grams. Available in Metal Black and Pearly Rose colors.

The proprietary platform is truly convenient and functional, absolutely complete right from the basic configuration. Java support still allows further customization of content. Always informed on the latest News, thanks to the RSS Feed reader. The Widget interface allows applications to be organized at their best. The CO2 calculator is interesting. For phone functions there is the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for video calling.

Entertainment and multimedia
Absolutely complete also from a multimedia point of view, this Sony Ericsson Elm GreenHearth offers a digital camera with as much as 5 megapixels, for perfect and brilliant images in any condition. Videos can also be recorded, all thanks to functions dedicated to automatic capture. The internal memory is generous, with 280 MB, further expandable via microSD cards up to 8 GB. This way there will be no space problems, to carry around your favorite audio and video files as well. The dedicated media player will take care of faithful playback. There is also an antenna for receiving AM/FM radio stations. Finally, there is also a satellite navigator, thanks to the integrated GPS receiver.
