Sharp 9020C review
Network and connections
The Sharp 9020C model is a high-level device, complete and suitable for any user. The reception system is a GSM Triband, which guarantees optimal coverage in any condition. There is also Dual Mode functionality to take advantage of the UMTS network. Browsing the Web has never been so easy, thanks to the internal modem that, together with the HTML browser, allows pages to be displayed quickly, making use of HSDPA management for data traffic. Bluetooth is also present for exchanging files with other devices, as well as the USB 2.0 cable for syncing with a PC. An infrared communication port is also present.
Design and features
The design of the 9020C conveys elegance and solidity, without heavy lines that would make the structure too elaborate. The body opens with a clamshell movement, freeing up the main screen and the standard keyboard with directional pad inside. The screen has the particularity of being able to be rotated horizontally while keeping normal use of the keyboard. In this way, enlarged images can be displayed, adapted thanks to the accelerometer. The dimensions are in line with category standards, 18.6 mm thick for a weight of 132 grams. In the sales package you can find the USB cable and the earphones.
Main features
A complete and functional device must clearly present the most common basic utilities. Indeed, there is no shortage of an advanced phonebook, an agenda synchronized with the calendar to manage personal commitments, the alarm clock and the currency converter. As for the voice channel, we can count on speakerphone, voice recorder and support for multiconference and video calling. The latter can indeed be carried out thanks to the dedicated camera. It is also possible to receive and send E-mail with attachments, including documents in the most common formats, so you can also manage your work while away from the office. For out-of-town trips, a digital compass is provided. The DVB Tuner support is interesting, allowing the phone to sync with television channels, to have your favorite broadcasts on the go.
Entertainment and multimedia
A very positive and surprising side of the 923SH is precisely characterized by its multimedia capabilities. We can find a 5 megapixel camera that, thanks to the Zoom and the integrated Flash, allows perfect photographs to be taken. The available memory is large, 100 MB expandable via microSD cards up to 4 GB. There is of course no shortage of a multimedia player, capable of faithfully playing back every audio and video file. A GPS receiver can be purchased separately to integrate satellite functionality into this device. Battery life is also very good, about 310 hours in Stand-by.
