Network and connections


Samsung SGH-Z400 is a so-called video phone, that is, a
mobile phone capable of supporting third generation services.
It is based on a Dual Mode platform,
namely UMTS and Tri-band GSM (900, 1800, 1900 MHz). It is
capable of supporting very fast data connections, thanks to the
3G support which adds to the classic EDGE
and GPRS connections. In addition, this model is equipped with
Bluetooth technology, for high wireless compatibility, as well as a
USB port for direct synchronization with a PC.



Design and features


Samsung SGH-Z400 belongs to the category of phones with
a slide-up opening. It is an
elegant and well-finished model, available on the market in the
colors black and silver. Samsung SGH-Z400 also offers a
limited thickness and a very large and sharp display. Finally, worth
mentioning are the built-in speakers, which allow you to listen to
music in stereo mode even without headphones.



Main features


The functions of this Samsung phone are numerous. SGH-
Z400 features voice recognition,
Voice Memo, speakerphone, calendar, calculator, alarm clock, and
currency converter functions. Thanks to the built-in camera,
this handset also allows you to make
"face to face" video calls with the person you are talking to.
As for messaging, Samsung SGH-Z400
allows you to manage and send all the types of messages
currently in use: SMS, MMS, video messages, and E-mail. The
internal memory is 30 MB and, thanks to MicroSD
memory cards, it can be further expanded.



Entertainment and multimedia


A particularly functional feature of Samsung SGH-
Z400 is the TV output, which allows you to connect the phone to the
television, allowing you to view images and clips directly on the big
screen. The model is also equipped with
polyphonic ringtones and an MP3/AAC/AAC+ player, as well as a
MP4/3GP video player. In addition, Java MIDP 2.0 support
allows you to use numerous games and download new ones
through the WAP browser. The phone has two
cameras. The main one has a 2.0 Megapixel sensor
with an image resolution that can reach 1600 x
1200 pixels. It is also equipped with digital zoom and several
advanced adjustments. The other camera, however, is
poorly defined and is mainly dedicated to
video calls.
