Network and connections
A decidedly innovative phone, offered by Samsung with the aim of bringing the 3D world to portable devices. But let's start by describing the technical features. The network receiver is a GSM Triband, on 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz frequencies. Dual Mode support also allows it to take advantage of UMTS networks. For browsing the Internet, there is the fast HSDPA modem, which allows the HTML browser to display any page without problems. However, the antenna for broadcast networks is missing. The classic Bluetooth is handy for exchanging files with compatible devices.
Design and features
At first glance, the W960 Amoled 3D appears classic in design, with soft and simple shapes in a Candybar structure. The dimensions are compact, with a thickness of 13.9 mm and a weight of 119 grams. Analyzing the screen, however, reveals the real innovation: a 3.2-inch AMOLED, with Capacitive Touch Screen technology. It also integrates 3D technology, without the need to use glasses or other additional devices. In short, a novelty that will surely open the way towards new frontiers of portable entertainment.
Main features
The proprietary platform immediately proves complete and functional. Java support allows the installation of compatible software, so as to better customize your device. The writing aids make it easy to handle any type of text, including E-mails. You can also view and edit PDF and Office attachments. The presence of a TV tuner is interesting. As for the phone side, you can count on speakerphone, voice recorder and the ability to make video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
A phone that's also complete for multimedia entertainment. The built-in camera has a resolution of 3.2 megapixels, for clear images in any situation. This is thanks to dedicated functions, which also allow you to record videos. The media player, on the other hand, allows you to play your favorite audio and video files without problems. However, the AM/FM radio receiver is missing. In short, a very good device, especially for the particular feature of the display.
