Samsung S5150 Diva folder review
Network and connections
A phone dedicated to the female audience, with a design that certainly stands out. Starting with the technical specifications, we can mention the GSM Triband receiver, which guarantees excellent signal coverage. UMTS support is missing, however. With the internal GPRS modem you can browse the Internet quickly, viewing pages with the dedicated WAP/HTML browser. The handy Bluetooth, on the other hand, allows file exchange with compatible devices. It is also possible to sync with your home PC.
Design and features
As mentioned, the aspect that stands out the most in this S5150 Diva Folder is its aesthetics. The clamshell body allows it to maintain compact dimensions and ease of handling. The external surface is finished with a mirror effect featuring a distinctive geometric pattern. A hidden LED display can also be noticed. Inside, instead, is the main screen, a 2.2-inch TFT capable of displaying up to 16 million colors. Also inside is the standard alphanumeric keypad. It is distinctive, set on a very elegant flat surface.
Main features
The proprietary platform proves to be complete and functional right from the start. Java support, however, allows the installation of additional software as desired, so as to customize your device in the best way. Receiving and sending messages is really fast, as is composing E-mails, thanks to support for predictive text. As for the purely telephone-related aspect, you can count on speakerphone, voice recorder and multiconference support.
Entertainment and multimedia
The Samsung S5150 Diva Folder also proves very good for the entertainment department. The built-in camera has a resolution of 3.2 megapixels. Thanks to the dedicated functions it allows you to take quality photographs, as well as record short videos. The memory available to the user is 40 MB, further expandable via microSD cards up to 8 GB. This way, you can always have your favorite audio and video files with you, to be played with the dedicated multimedia player. There is also an AM/FM radio receiver, for listening to broadcasts while on the move. Battery life is also very good, with a 470-hour Stand-by battery life.
