Samsung Player Style i review

Network and connections
The Samsung Player Style, also known as the F480, offers cutting-edge solutions for every type of user. The network system is GSM Triband, on frequencies of 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz. Signal coverage is always optimal, thanks also to Dual Mode support to take advantage of UMTS networks. The fast HSDPA 7.2 Mbps module makes browsing the Internet extremely quick. Images and audio files can be exchanged with a simple click, using the USB connection or Bluetooth 2.0. However, Wi-Fi technology and the GPS antenna are missing.

Design and features
The exterior look of the Samsung Player Style is fine and elegant. Small and light, only 11.6 mm thick for 106 grams of weight. It is equipped with a large Capacitive Touch Screen display at 240x320 pixels with 262K colors and energy saving, which guarantees a battery life of 250 hours in Stand-by. Large internal memory of 160 MB expandable up to 16 GB with MicroSD, to store plenty of music and data.

Main features
Designed to suit the user, the Player Style and its "drag and drop" function allow applications to be dragged with a finger. Customization thus goes beyond every limit, with dynamic management of the display through panels and widgets. The proprietary platform partly limits the installation of additional components, but the standard programs fully support SMS, E-mail, and management applications. There is great support for network applications, such as Youtube, Facebook, MySpace and Picasa. But these are only a few of the many available. Java support also allows the installation of additional software.

Entertainment and multimedia
Samsung wanted to equip this phone with a camera of as much as 5 megapixels. The 4x zoom allows even the smallest details to be captured. The automatic smile recognition in autofocus is notable, for capturing the most important moments. In addition, the Player Style F480 incorporates AM/FM radio and a multimedia player, as well as games such as Photo Puzzle. A very useful safety feature is the Mobile Tracker, which makes it possible to find the phone again in case of theft. In short, a high-quality and absolutely complete device.
