Network and connections


This is a "Tri-band" phone, capable of operating on the GSM network across three different frequency bands: 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz. The data connection works properly, thanks to EDGE support, in addition to GPRS. This model is also equipped with the very useful Bluetooth wireless feature, essential nowadays. The infrared port (IrDa) is not present, however, while it is possible to connect the device to a computer using the appropriate USB cable. The display is very nice.



Design and features


Samsung SGH-P310 is a phone with a standard body type, or "candybar", with a very distinctive squared design in its category. One notices a slight resemblance to the pocket calculators of the past. This model is very thin, its thickness in fact measuring only 8.9 mm. SGH-P310 is available in a pleasant black and gray color scheme and has a built-in antenna. Below the display, finally, is the keyboard, ergonomic and comfortable to the touch, with rounded buttons.



Main features


Samsung SGH-P310 allows you to make "multiconference" calls, that is, with multiple interlocutors at the same time. The phone also has built-in vibration and a hands-free function, usable during conversations. It is also possible to record short voice Memos. SGH-P310 allows the use of all kinds of messages. It allows, in fact, the management of Sms, Ems, Mms and e-mail formats, aided by the T9 predictive text system. Memory is 80 MB and is expandable via the Micro SD card slot. The phone is also equipped with an alarm clock function, internal calendar, calculator, currency converter, countdown timer and stopwatch.



Entertainment and multimedia


With this model the user can enjoy melodies in MP3 and AAC format, as well as playback of MPEG-4 and 3GP video clips. SGH-P310 is not equipped with an AM/FM radio, while it supports Java technology (J2ME), which allows the use of new games, in addition to those already present, even downloaded from the network through the WAP browser. Samsung SGH-P310 incorporates a good-level built-in camera, which has a sensor of as much as 2 Megapixel, with autofocus. The maximum achievable resolution is 1600x1200 pixels. The camera is also equipped with 4x digital zoom and built-in flash, as well as brightness control. Furthermore, it allows the recording of video sequences of decent quality.
