Network and connections
An Entry Level phone from Samsung, the M2510 offers a good compromise between functionality and technical quality, while keeping the investment required for the purchase low. The network receiver is a GSM Quadband, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. UMTS support is not present, but network functionality and signal quality are nonetheless excellent. Internet connection is possible thanks to the internal modem. It manages packet data traffic in GPRS or EDGE, so as to offer a good browsing speed with the WAP browser. There is also the convenient Bluetooth for exchanging files with compatible devices, or the USB output for syncing with a PC.
Design and features
A young, dynamic exterior look, with simple but fairly well-crafted lines. The grip is always secure and comfortable thanks to the rounded edges. Additionally, the compactness of the dimensions helps a lot with portability. The thickness is in fact 15.7 mm, for a weight of 90.5 grams. Truly contained measurements if we consider that the body can be opened, with a vertical Slider movement. This allows the alphanumeric keyboard to be closed inside, to be used only when necessary. In fact, the directional pad and the quick keys, positioned on the front just below the screen, are enough to manage most functions. The latter is a 2-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. The sales package includes the earphones and the data cable.
Main features
The proprietary platform allows for good management of all applications, with quick and intuitive menus. Contact list, calculator, currency converter, organizer to manage appointments and alarm clocks are just some of the basic functions. Java support in fact allows the device to be customized, by installing small compatible utilities. Simplified writing helps a lot in quickly composing messages, to conveniently manage SMS, MMS and also E-mail. The telephone aspect, on the other hand, allows hands-free calling, as well as recording voice conversations via the microphone. You can also make multi-conference calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
We complete the review by talking about the aspect that perhaps highlights this Samsung M2510 the most. In fact, it is an excellent music playback tool, so as to always have available a player for audio and video files in various formats. The memory is ample, expandable via microSD type cards. In this way, you will also be able to save without problems photographs taken with the digital camera, with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. It also allows the recording of short videos.
