Network and connections
A good quality phone presented by the Korean company Samsung. The J165 is equipped with an excellent reception system, with support for GSM Quadband on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz; it is also capable of operating in Dual Mode taking advantage of the UMTS network. As for wireless connectivity, you can count on Bluetooth to exchange files with other compatible devices. Or again, the USB 2.0 cable allows direct synchronization with a PC. It is important to note the readiness to browse the Web, thanks to the integrated modem and support for GPRS or EDGE for fast packet data traffic.

Design and features
The exterior look of this device is classy, with satin finish materials to give a good feel to the touch. The body is monoblock, with a standard numeric keypad on the front. The lines are rounded, to ensure greater ergonomics and solidity in the grip. On the front there is also the large TFT 128x160 pixel screen, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. The measurements have been kept quite compact, precisely to favor comfort: 13.4 mm in thickness, for 78 grams of weight. Inside the sales package you can find a USB data cable and a stereo headset.

Main features
Starting with the features dedicated to the voice aspect, we can find the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for multiconference and video calling. The most common management features are not missing, such as synchronized address book and calendar, or the notepad for writing notes and memos. The device is equipped with a directional pad that helps a great deal in managing content, so as to quickly carry out every operation. It is also possible to easily write SMS and multimedia messages, or check E-mail.

Entertainment and multimedia
An absolutely important note of merit for the multimedia aspect. The Samsung J165 is in fact equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, which allows you to take good quality photographs, thanks also to the integrated Zoom and Flash. Dedicated software allows you to directly edit the captured images, also applying fun effects. The available memory is only 8 MB, further expandable via microSD type cards. It is thus possible to carry your favorite music in your pocket, as well as video files in various formats, to be easily played back through the multimedia player. In addition, the U900 is equipped with a receiver for AM/FM frequencies.
