Samsung Intercept review
Network and connections
An easy-to-use phone branded Sprint, to adapt social network communication to everyone's pockets too. The technical features are good, with CDMA support to ensure data traffic without too many problems as well. This makes it possible to surf the web via the HTML browser, to view content specifically designed for mobile phones. Obviously Bluetooth support could not be missing, extremely handy for exchanging files with compatible devices. Or again the USB data cable for syncing with your home PC. A Wi-Fi antenna is also present.
Design and features
The style is rather classic, with rounded edges to provide greater ergonomics and a secure grip. The body is compact, with a thickness of 15 mm and a weight of 139 grams. Portability is therefore guaranteed without any compromise. The front houses the display, a 3.2-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. It is also equipped with Capacitive Touch Screen technology, for optimal management of every operation. Function keys are also present to speed up use of the phone. Opening the structure with a lateral Slider movement instead reveals the extended QWERTY keyboard inside.
Main features
The platform is Google's Android and offers complete functionality, such as contact list, appointment calendar, calculator and alarm clock, as well as currency converter and stopwatch. Java support also allows you to install compatible applications, to customize your device and adapt it to your personal needs. The extended keyboard is decidedly convenient for text composition, making it easy to write SMS and multimedia messages, as well as E-mails complete with attachments. There are also instant messaging and social network tools, such as Facebook or Twitter. The voice aspect offers speakerphone, voice recorder and multiconference support.
Entertainment and multimedia
To complete the offering of this Intercept, Samsung's designers equipped it with a rear camera of 3.2 megapixels. Image quality is fairly good compared to the average of current devices, in any case handy for taking pictures when needed. It is equipped with autofocus and Zoom and other dedicated functions. Internal memory is expandable up to 32 GB with microSD cards, so you can carry music files with you to play with the media player. A GPS satellite module is also present. The battery is a 1500 mAh lithium battery, which guarantees good operating autonomy, up to 300 hours in Stand-by.
