Samsung Hello Kitty review
Network and connections
A Samsung customized with the successful Hello Kitty brand, dedicated to an expressly female audience. The technical characteristics are good, starting with the GSM Quadband network receiver, capable of guaranteeing optimal coverage anywhere in the world. There is no UMTS connection, but it is still possible to use the internal modem, with GPRS or EDGE data traffic management, to browse the Internet. The browser will open all the network's HTML pages without problems. Also present is the convenient Bluetooth, to be used to connect directly to compatible devices, as well as the USB 2.0 data cable.
Design and features
At first glance, the reference to the Hello Kitty brand is immediately strong, with white and pink coloring of the body and themed drawings. The phone's structure is a clamshell, so as to enclose the alphanumeric keyboard and the main screen inside. This is a 2.2-inch TFT, with display of up to 262,000 colors. On the outer part, instead, there is a small monochrome auxiliary display, useful for displaying basic information. The dimensions remain in line with the main competitors (94x46.5x18.5 mm), with a truly contained weight: 85.5 grams. This Samsung thus turns out to be really manageable and portable. The sales package includes the headset and the data cable.
Main features
The Samsung Hello Kitty is equipped with complete features, from advanced schedule management, to the currency converter, to the document viewer for the most common formats. As for the voice aspect, it is equipped with a speakerphone, vibration, voice recorder and voicemail, in addition to support for multi-conference calls. Interesting is the possibility of entering safe mode, to deactivate the emission of electromagnetic waves on airplanes and in hospitals, so as to be able to continue using the phone. All the menu display is Hello Kitty themed.
Entertainment and multimedia
Excellent as a music and video player, with support for various formats, this Samsung allows you to always have your favorite files with you. The available memory is only 9 MB, expandable however with microSD cards. The digital camera, at VGA resolution, is also present. The image quality is approximate, but still convenient for taking photos in moments of need. Ringtones can be managed in mp3 or polyphonic format, to give a greater touch of your own personality. The battery's operating autonomy is great, for a duration of up to 340 hours in Stand-by.
