The Widget interface allows the user to best customize their Halley S5600, with menus that are ever more convenient and fast. The application package offered is absolutely complete, with contacts, organizer, alarm clock and calculator, currency converter and even a stopwatch. But that's not all, because Java support allows the installation of compatible software for expansion. Support for Office documents allows the user to handle E-mail attachments without any problems. These can be composed quickly, thanks to predictive text which helps a lot with message texts. The purely telephone-related aspect is no less impressive, with good-quality speakerphone, voice recorder, and multi-conference support. Furthermore, the dedicated camera allows for making video calls.

It is really handy for taking quality photos whenever needed, also thanks to Flash, Zoom and other dedicated functions, such as Smile Shot. You can also record videos, to be saved on the 50 MB internal memory, further expandable up to 8 GB with microSD cards. There's also a media player for playing audio and video files in various formats. The tracks being played are automatically recognized by Shazam's Find Music service.
