Samsung F270 Beat review

Network and connections
A high-quality phone presented by the Korean company Samsung. The F270 Beat is equipped with a truly excellent reception system, with GSM Quadband support on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz; however, it does not support Dual Mode to take advantage of UMTS networks. As for wireless connectivity, you can count on Bluetooth to exchange files with other compatible devices. Or again, the USB 2.0 cable allows you to sync directly to a PC. Important to note the readiness to browse the Web, thanks to the built-in modem and GPRS support for fast packet data traffic.

Design and features
The exterior look of this device is simple, suitable for all types of users. The opening is sliding, with vertical movement, revealing a standard numeric keypad inside. The lines are rounded, to ensure greater ergonomics and a solid grip. On the front is the large 2.2 inch TFT display, capable of displaying up to 262,000 colors. The dimensions have been kept rather compact, precisely to favor comfort: 16.9 mm thick, for 101 grams of weight. In the sales package you can find a USB data cable and a stereo headset.

Main features
Starting with the features dedicated to voice, we find the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for multi-conferencing. The most common management functions are not missing, such as a synchronized address book and calendar, or the notepad for writing notes and memos. It is also possible to easily write SMS and multimedia messages, or check E-mail. Java support allows you to install compatible software, to better customize your device. A complete phone, with basic features but able to satisfy any type of user.

Entertainment and multimedia
An absolutely important note of merit for the multimedia aspect. The Samsung F270 Beat is in fact equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, which allows you to take good quality photographs, also thanks to the built-in Zoom and Flash. The available memory is generous, with 60 MB further expandable via microSD type cards. This way you can carry your favorite music in your pocket, as well as video files in various formats, to be easily played back through the multimedia player. Furthermore, the F270 Beat is equipped with a receiver for AM/FM frequencies. Battery life is good, up to 330 hours in Stand-by.
