Samsung E900 review

Network and connections

Samsung SGH-E900 is a Tri-band cell phone, operating on the three frequencies 900, 1800, and 1900 Mhz. EDGE support, in addition to GPRS, ensures a good network connection for data transfer. There is also wireless Bluetooth technology and a USB port. The former proves extremely useful for connecting the device with other wireless devices. The battery provided is very good.

Design and features

This model features an exclusive and elegant design. It is a slide-up cell phone, well finished and available in black. Samsung SGH-E900 has an integrated antenna and is, overall, very compact and slim. The opening of the body is activated by a side control, and the buttons ensure quick and easy access to all the main functions.

Main features

Among the various advanced voice features are integrated hands-free, voice-activated dialing, audio recorder, and the possibility of multi-conferencing, to talk with multiple users simultaneously. In addition, SGH-E900 is equipped with alarm clock, calendar, calculator, stopwatch, notepad, and currency converter. It allows managing and sending Sms, Mms, and E-mail messages, with an intuitive writing system. The memory offers ample available space and is expandable via MicroSD cards.

Entertainment and multimedia

The MP3, AAC, AAC+, and WMA multimedia player is very appreciable, in addition to the MP4 and 3GP video player. Java technology, on the other hand, allows compatibility with numerous games and applications, with the possibility of installing new ones by downloading them through the built-in browser. Lastly, the integrated digital camera is very good. It offers a 2 Megapixel sensor, with digital zoom, capable of reaching a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The device unfortunately lacks a flash but allows for contrast and brightness adjustment depending on ambient conditions.
