Samsung E200 ECO review
Network and connections
A phone destined to be talked about above all for its innovative composition of materials. But starting with the technical characteristics, it can be said that this is a GSM Triband device, capable of exploiting the frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. Even though it's not UMTS, coverage is guaranteed in any condition. For Internet browsing there is an internal modem, in addition to the WAP browser and data traffic management via GPRS. For wireless there is instead Bluetooth, which allows easy connection with other devices. Or again the USB 2.0 cable to sync with the home PC.
Design and features
What immediately strikes you at first sight is the coloring, a bright green cover that stands out against the black of the front panel. The composition of the materials is innovative, in pursuit of that eco-compatibility aimed at reducing the impact of technology on nature. That's why the body is made of bioplastic, a mixture of polycarbonate with 40% PLA extracted from plants such as corn. One of the important properties of this material is the fact that it dissolves in water with carbon dioxide. Furthermore, the retail packaging is made of non-laminated recycled paper. The device's dimensions are absolutely in line with great portability: just 90 grams in weight and a thickness of 11 mm.
