Samsung E1390 review
Network and connections
Samsung offers a phone with basic features, for users looking for extreme simplicity for calls and a few other functions. By now it has become rare to find such a minimal device that is still of good quality: the market is now dominated by Smartphones with multiple functions. But let's talk about the features of this E1390. It is a Dualband GSM, on frequencies of 900 and 1800 MHz. Signal quality is always good, although intercontinental transfers are not supported. All the connectivity that is now standard on other devices is missing, except for the integrated GPRS modem. The latter allows browsing on WAP portals.
Design and features
The Candybar body appears simple and old-fashioned. At first glance, you get a sense of the device's sturdiness, resistant to impacts and daily use even in the most varied work environments. The edges remain rounded, to offer greater ergonomics in the grip. The compact dimensions help with handling: it has a thickness of 15 mm for only 80 grams of weight. The front houses the screen, a CSNT with 65,000 colors. Just below is the standard alphanumeric keypad and the clickable directional pad, convenient for managing content.
Main features
The basic platform offers the classic management applications, to always keep contacts, appointments and alarms under control. Java support allows the installation of simple compatible utilities, although a user who decides to buy this phone is definitely not looking for customization and expandability capabilities. Support for predictive text allows for quickly creating SMS and multimedia messages. For the phone aspect, there are the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for multi-conferencing.
Entertainment and multimedia
The Samsung E1390 proves to be a valid music player for mp3 files with Stereo Speakers. The internal memory is expandable with microSD cards, so you can always carry your favorite files with you. There is also the AM/FM radio antenna, to listen to radio broadcasts at any time. Also interesting are some simple pre-installed games, with the possibility of downloading new ones directly from the Internet. Truly interesting is the battery life guaranteed by the battery: up to 686 hours in Stand-by and 10 in talk time.
