Network and connections
A balanced, complete and easy-to-use phone. It adapts well to the needs of every type of user, although it will certainly be favored by those looking for a basic phone with essential functions. Describing the technical features, we can say that the E1360 is equipped with a GSM Dualband receiver. UMTS support is not present, but it is nevertheless possible to browse the Internet comfortably thanks to the internal GPRS and EDGE modem. It will thus be easy to open WAP pages directly from the dedicated browser installed. To transfer files with other devices, one can instead use the USB cable where compatibility is provided.
Design and features
Small dimensions and a compact design guarantee high portability without compromising on bulk. The thickness is 18 mm for a weight of 96.8 grams. The body, which opens vertically with a Slider movement, allows the alphanumeric keypad to be closed inside, leaving only the 1.8-inch TFT screen and the directional pad on the front. The latter is essential for managing every function of the phone, along with the dedicated keys. The package includes the earphones and the data cable.
Main features
The platform is proprietary, with complete and easy-to-use content. Settings can be adjusted intuitively, so as to best personalize one's device. Additional applications, compatible with Java, can also be installed. Contact list, calendar for appointments, alarm clock, calculator and stopwatch are always essential. Support for predictive text greatly helps in composing text, so as to always keep SMS, multimedia messages and E-mail under control. As for the telephone aspect, there is the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for multi-conferencing.
Entertainment and multimedia
An entry level phone does not develop excellent quality for entertainment. So this Samsung E1360 does not offer the possibility of taking photographs since there is no digital camera. Audio or video files cannot be played either. However, polyphonic ringtones can be managed, so as to give an extra touch of personality to one's phone. There is also an AM/FM radio receiver, so you can listen to your favorite radio stations while on the move. The lithium battery has good life, offering autonomy of up to 250 hours in Stand-by.
