Network and connections
A young, fresh Smartphone with innovative features, also dedicated to a young audience, not just Business users like the more classic PDAs. Its technical specs place it in a mid-range market segment. The network receiver is a GSM Triband, also capable of working in Dual Mode to support UMTS networks. This way the signal coverage is decidedly good, in any part of the world. The Internet connection is excellent, in fact it boasts HSDPA support for fast packet data traffic. The internal modem and the HTML browser therefore allow you to freely browse Web pages. The C6620 lacks Wi-Fi support, however it does have Bluetooth and a handy USB 2.0 port.
Design and features
The shape is standard for a handheld device, also equipped with an extended QWERTY keyboard. The edges are nicely rounded, to give greater ergonomics and a secure grip. The dimensions are a bit forced, mostly generous in width to leave room for the keyboard. It has a thickness of 11.9 mm and a weight of 109 grams. The display is a 2.6-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors, for images that are always sharp and bright. A large clickable central pad is instead very useful for navigating through menus and functions. The sales package includes the data cable, the earphones, a handy wrist strap and a 1 GB microSD.
Main features
The potential offered by this device is excellent. Just think of the presence of the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, which allows boundless expandability, so as to best personalize your device also thanks to Java support. Furthermore, the most common document formats are supported, thanks to the Office package. Writing messages is really fast, with the extended keyboard. This way you can compose SMS, multimedia messages and E-mails. The latter are easy to manage thanks to Microsoft Outlook. The voice department offers hands-free calls and multi-conferencing, as well as the voice recorder. The dedicated front camera also allows you to make video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
To satisfy every need across a 360° audience, the designers equipped the Samsung C6620 with a digital camera. It takes photographs at a resolution of 2 megapixels, so as to obtain good quality images, also thanks to the built-in Zoom and Flash. You can also use special functions to improve your shots, such as smile recognition. The built-in memory is 78 MB, but it is easily expandable via microSD cards. This way you can always have your favorite music and videos with you, to play with Windows Media Player. A device of this caliber absolutely needs a battery that guarantees good battery life. Indeed, the 900 mAh allow for a duration of 300 hours in Stand-by.
