Samsung C3300K Champ review
Network and connections
An easy phone with a good quality/price ratio. The network receiver is a Quadband GSM, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. UMTS support is not present, however it is possible to browse the Internet thanks to the internal modem with GPRS/EDGE technology. The HTML browser will only take care of correctly displaying Web pages. To exchange files with other devices, Bluetooth comes in handy, while the USB data output allows you to sync the device with your home PC.
Design and features
An easygoing and dynamic style, suited to any context. At first glance you notice the compact shape. The rounded edges help a lot with grip, also thanks to the reduced dimensions: 13 mm thick and only 80 grams in weight. The front houses the 2.4-inch TFT screen, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. It also integrates Resistive Touch Screen technology and an accelerometer. Just below are the function keys to manage the device.
Main features
A phone with simple and essential features, still capable of offering complete organizational applications, such as phonebook, organizer, alarm clock and calculator. Java support allows you to install compatible software, so you can better customize your device. Support for predictive text is handy for quickly managing SMS, multimedia messages and E-mail. As for the purely telephone-related aspect, you'll find the built-in speakerphone, the voice recorder and conference call support.
Entertainment and multimedia
A simple phone, which is still able to offer functions dedicated to leisure time. The digital camera allows you to take photos up to 1.3 megapixel resolution. It is also possible to record short videos, to be stored in the 30 MB memory, further expandable with microSD up to 8 GB. This way you'll also be able to carry audio and video files with you, to be played with the dedicated multimedia player. There is also an AM/FM radio tuner, to listen to your favorite radio stations. Finally, the battery life is incredible, lasting up to 666 hours in Stand-by.
