Samsung C3212 review

Network and connections
A simple phone for users without too many functional demands. Its great feature, however, lies in Dual Sim support. First of all, let's talk about the technical features. The C3212 is equipped with a GSM Dualband receiver, which guarantees good coverage even if only at a local level. The official information released is a bit incomplete, so it is not certain whether there is an internal modem for browsing the Internet. However, it is possible to exchange files with compatible devices via Bluetooth. Or even connect the device to a PC for synchronization, thanks to the USB cable.

Design and features
The exterior look of the Samsung C3212 is very simple and essential. No glossy materials or avant-garde design solutions are used. The body sticks to the classic compact and sturdy Candybar style, with rounded lines on the edges to offer ergonomics in grip and handling without compromises. The dimensions remain compact, with a thickness of 14.2 mm and a weight of 92 grams. On the front is the screen, a TFT 120x160 pixel display, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. Just below it is the standard alphanumeric keypad.

Main features
The platform the C3212 is equipped with is proprietary to Samsung. Despite the phone's simplicity, all the basic applications for managing appointments and contacts can be found. Or even alarm clock, calculator, stopwatch and currency converter. Java support is also present, allowing additional software to be installed, although limited to small utilities. The most relevant feature, however, as already mentioned, is Dual Sim support, which allows two phone lines to be used at the same time. On the purely voice side, it offers speakerphone, voice recorder and multiconference support.

Entertainment and multimedia
In order to offer a complete product, even if in the mid-low range, the digital camera could certainly not be missing. It has VGA resolution, for taking acceptable photos when needed. Interesting instead is the presence of the multimedia player, which allows audio and video files to be played in various formats. There is also an AM/FM radio receiver with RDS function. It is also possible to record what is being listened to thanks to FM recording. Finally, battery life is good, with an autonomy of 322 hours in Stand-by.
