Samsung B5702 review

Network and connections
Samsung offers the market a phone that's truly useful for many people, thanks to Dual SIM support that allows two numbers to be used simultaneously on the same device. The B5702 is first and foremost a GSM Quadband, a guarantee of optimal reception anywhere in the world, even though it doesn't support UMTS networks. Internet connection is possible thanks to the internal modem, which with GPRS data traffic allows the HTML browser to display pages without any problems. Of course, Bluetooth and USB support are also present, for connecting directly to compatible devices.

Design and features
Its compact shape makes the B5702 a very handy phone that's comfortable to always carry in your pocket. The body opens with a vertical sliding movement. It is therefore a slider, with the screen on the front side. This is a TFT 240x320 pixel display showing 256,000 colors. Images turn out sharp and bright, with vivid colors in any lighting condition. On the inside, meanwhile, is the standard numeric keypad. To manage the various functions, you can use the clickable directional pad and the function keys present on the body.

Main features
A phone truly suited to every type of user, thanks to the complete set of features it offers. You can in fact find the contacts list with advanced management, as well as the calendar for keeping track of personal appointments. The alarm clock, stopwatch, and calculator are also present. Support for predictive text helps when composing messages, allowing you to quickly write both SMS and multimedia messages, as well as E-mails. The proprietary platform allows for good expandability, thanks to Java support, so you can install small utilities to customize your device to the fullest. On the voice side, there's a voice recorder, the ability to make multi-conference calls, and a speakerphone.

Entertainment and multimedia
The section dedicated to entertainment is decidedly rich, so that the B5702 also proves to be a useful phone in your free time. The rear camera has a resolution of 3.15 megapixels; the photos taken are of good quality, capturing even the small details thanks to Digital Zoom. The available memory can be expanded as much as you like thanks to microSD type cards. This way, you'll have plenty of space available for your favorite music and videos too, to be played back with the multimedia player. There is also a receiver for AM/FM radio frequencies, for listening to radio broadcasts anywhere.
