Network and connections
Samsung's Corby series gains a new device, the most powerful ever. The B5310 is high-performing and absolutely complete, able to satisfy even the most demanding user. The network receiver is a GSM Quadband, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. Signal coverage is always excellent, thanks also to UMTS support. The internal modem with HSDPA technology instead allows fast Internet browsing. The dedicated HTML browser will take care of displaying Web pages correctly. Or again, it's possible to take advantage of distributed networks, thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi antenna. There's also the convenient Bluetooth, for exchanging files with other compatible devices.
Design and features
A young and dynamic phone, also offered in eye-catching colors such as a strong Fuchsia, a bright yellow and a brilliant orange. The lines are simple and smooth, with rounded edges to improve grip ergonomics. The dimensions remain compact, with a thickness of 15.7 mm and a weight of 135 grams. The front is glossy and houses the large display. The latter is a 3-inch QVGA, capable of displaying up to 16 million colors. It is also equipped with Resistive Touch Screen technology, for precise and quick content management. Opening the body with a lateral Slider movement instead reveals the convenient Full QWERTY keyboard inside.
Main features
A quality tool, designed to support even the most demanding needs. The proprietary platform offers complete basic functions, such as the classic contacts, calendar, alarm clock and calculator. Java support, however, allows the installation of compatible software, to better personalize one's own device. Quick writing makes it easy to manage messages and E-mail. Thanks then to the dedicated readers, it's possible to view and edit Office and PDF documents. The multimedia world is always available, with Instant Messaging and the ability to check one's Facebook profile directly on the go. For telephone functions instead there's the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for video calling.
Entertainment and multimedia
A complete Smartphone that's also functional for free time. The built-in camera allows you to take quality photographs. The lens is 3.2 megapixels and together with the dedicated functions also allows you to record videos with audio. The memory available to the user is 100 MB, further expandable via microSD cards. This way you can always have your favorite audio and video files with you, to play with the dedicated multimedia player. There's also an AM/FM radio antenna, complete with RDS function. The GPS receiver is also convenient, turning the B5310 Corby Pro into a satellite navigator.
