Samsung's A887, a new Smartphone equipped with notable technical qualities and great potential. This starts right from the network receiver, a Quadband GSM on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. The A887 is also equipped with UMTS support for advanced network functions. This way you can browse the Internet quickly, thanks also to the internal modem with HSDPA data traffic management. The dedicated browser will therefore be able to open any HTML page in the most convenient way possible. Bluetooth is also present for exchanging data with other devices, as is the USB cable for connecting to your home PC.

At first glance you immediately notice the large screen on the front, a 3-inch TFT capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. As already mentioned, it is equipped with Touch Screen technology, which allows for absolutely intuitive and quick management of every content. The accelerometer also allows you to automatically rotate displayed images to better adapt them to the context of use. The lines are simple and soft in the Candybar body, with a thickness of 12.7 mm and a weight of only 94 grams. On the sides there are function keys, useful for better managing the device. The package includes earphones and a data cable.
Main features
The proprietary platform proves to be truly excellent and simple to use. Every function is easily accessible, thanks also to the ability to customize menus according to your needs. Contact list, organizer for activities and appointments, calendar, alarm clock with alarms and calculator are the classic management tools present. However, Java support allows you to install software as desired, in order to better customize the device. Support for predictive text makes managing SMS, MMS and E-mail simple. You can also open and edit attachments in Office and PDF formats. For Community lovers, you can customize a special bar on the display, to contain immediate links to Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo! Messenger. The phone features are complete, with hands-free, voice recorder, multiconference support and video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
A quality phone also for its multimedia features. The Samsung A887 offers the possibility of taking photographs through the 2 megapixel camera. It also allows you to record videos, to be stored on the standard 189 MB of space. If that's not enough, you can always use a microSD card for expansion up to 16 GB. This way you can always have your favorite music with you, to be played through the media player. Interesting is the presence of the integrated GPS receiver, to complete the satellite functions and use the phone as a navigator during trips. The battery life is good, up to 250 hours in Stand-by.
