Samsung A797 Flight review

Network and connections
Another device aimed at the US public, offered on the market by AT&T. The Samsung A797 Flight is a good quality Smartphone, equipped with a GSM Quadband network receiver. UMTS support is missing, however numerous network services can be enjoyed thanks to the GPRS and EDGE modem. The HTML browser will thus be able to correctly display Web pages. The Bluetooth protocol is very handy for exchanging files with other compatible devices. It is also possible to sync with your home PC via the USB port.

Design and features
A simple and rounded shape, offering greater comfort and security in the grip. The compact dimensions do not compromise portability: 13 mm thick for 140 grams of weight. The front houses the screen, a 3.2-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. It is also equipped with Capacitive Touch Screen technology, for optimal management of every content. Exploring further, you'll also find an extended QWERTY keyboard, hidden inside and usable by opening the phone with the Slider mechanism. The red of the numeric keys echoes the colored edge of the phone.

Main features
The proprietary platform immediately offers complete and practical applications. Address book, calendar, alarm clock, calculator and currency converter are just some of the standard utilities. Java support also allows you to install additional software, so as to best customize your device. Quick writing and the QWERTY keyboard help with text composition, so you can quickly handle SMS, multimedia messages and E-mails. There are also readers for the most common document formats. For the voice section, there are the speakerphone, the voice recorder and multi-conference support.

Entertainment and multimedia
This A797 Flight is a complete device, with interesting applications also for leisure time. The preinstalled games are fun and it's possible to download new ones directly from the Internet. You can also record short videos, to be saved in the space available to the user, expandable up to 32 GB with microSD cards. The media player will instead be effective for faithfully reproducing your favorite audio and video files.
