Sagem Puma Phone review

Network and connections
This model was born from the collaboration between Puma and Sagem, to offer a phone to lovers of outdoor sports. The network system is GSM Triband, on frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. Signal coverage is always optimal, also thanks to Dual Mode support to take advantage of UMTS networks. The fast HSDPA module makes browsing the Internet extremely quick. It is possible to exchange images and audio files with a simple click, using the USB connection or Bluetooth 2.0. However, Wi-Fi technology is missing.

Design and features
The aesthetic class of this Sagem is immediately noticeable, thanks to its minimalist yet refined design. Small and light, only 13 mm thick for 115 grams of weight. It is equipped with a large Capacitive Touch Screen display of 2.8 inches with 262K colors and energy saving, which guarantees a battery life of 350 hours in Stand-by. The expandable memory is large, up to 8 GB with MicroSD, for storing plenty of music and data. A 2 GB microSD card is included in the package.

Main features
Designed to fit the user, the Puma Phone is easy to use, thanks to the Touch platform. The standard programs fully support SMS, E-mail and organizer applications, but it is still possible to customize everything thanks to Java support. The readiness for network applications is great, such as Youtube, Facebook, MySpace and Picasa. Interesting and distinctive, on the other hand, are the sports functions, such as Run and Bike Tracker, Pedometer, and a solar-powered charging device. Or even the digital compass to always be sure of your way.

Entertainment and multimedia
Sagem wanted to equip this phone with a 3.2 megapixel camera. The digital zoom allows you to capture even the smallest details. The automatic smile recognition in autofocus is notable, for capturing the most important moments. In addition, the Puma Phone incorporates FM radio and a multimedia player, as well as fun pre-installed games. The GPS module is handy, for integrating satellite functions such as Geo-Tagging and navigation.
