Network and connections
Another device aimed at Business users. The Palm Centro is complete and functional, equipped with GSM Triband network support, on frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz to guarantee optimal coverage in every condition. It does not feature the HSDPA protocol for fast data traffic, however through GPRS it is possible to browse the Web, thanks also to the WAP browser and the integrated modem. As for wireless, the Centro can rely on Bluetooth to exchange files with compatible devices. There is also the convenient USB 2.0 cable for connecting directly to a PC.

Design and equipment
Classic and simple shapes for this Smartphone from Palm. On the front stands out the display with a resolution of 320x320 pixels; it is capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. Moreover, unlike the devices in the Treo line, the Centro is equipped with Touch Screen technology for quick and convenient management of the handheld. Below the display, instead, is the QWERTY keyboard, with comfortably sized keys for fast typing. The weight is just 124 grams, while the thickness is slightly generous, at 18.6 mm. The sales package includes the USB cable, while a handy headset is missing.

Main features
A device with business credentials must provide advanced management applications. That's why you can use a detailed contacts address book, in addition to the famous Palm-style organizer. The platform is proprietary, with Palm 5.4.9 software that guarantees reliability and the ability to install compatible applications; indeed, Java support is present, to download utilities directly from the Internet as well. Of course, software that allows viewing the most common types of documents and PDF files could not be missing. The voice section instead includes speakerphone, multiconference support and voice recorder.

Entertainment and multimedia
Although the Centro is a device dedicated to the office, it is also equipped with multimedia features. The rear camera is only 1.3 megapixel, but it still allows you to obtain good quality images, thanks also to the built-in Zoom. The internal memory is 64 MB, but it can easily be expanded with a microSD type card. It is therefore possible to carry a large amount of music in your pocket, in various formats, to be played with the PocketTunes media player. Portability is guaranteed by the 1150 mAh battery, with a duration of up to 300 hours in Stand-by.
