Nokia N82 review

Network and connections
Designed to be a multimedia travel companion, the Nokia N82 makes the most of mobility. With the Dual Mode system, it operates on both GSM and UMTS frequencies. The Internet is always within reach, thanks to the built-in modem and fast data transfer with HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps. Or again, Wi-Fi to take advantage of wireless networks. USB 2.0 and Bluetooth connections are of course included, for conveniently exchanging data with other devices. A novelty introduced on this Smartphone is the possibility of connecting it directly to the television, with a dedicated TV-Out output.

Design and equipment
Classic Nokia design for this N82, with a one-piece body, featuring simple and essential lines.
The large 2.4 inch TFT LCD display delivers sharp, quality images, with its 16.7 million colors. The keys are a bit small, but spaced apart in such a way as to still be precise to the touch. The large central key, on the other hand, makes navigating the menus easy. The Nokia N82 is a small concentration of power enclosed in just 114 grams of weight. The package also includes the cable for TV connection and memory expansion with a 2GB microSD.

Main features
The Nokia N82 comes equipped with every basic utility, such as alarm clock, voice recorder, SMS and MMS services, built-in speakerphone and many others. It also features the Push-To-Talk system to talk as if it were a walkie-talkie. The Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 platform allows you to best customize your phone by installing Java applications. The satellite navigator is also included, with A-GPS and Nokia Maps software, to always have a reliable road guide available. A front-facing camera, on the other hand, allows calls to be made even in videoconference mode.

Entertainment and multimedia
Successor to the N73, this new Nokia smartphone enhances its multimedia capabilities. The exciting 5 megapixel camera discovers and captures sensational images, thanks to Carl Zeiss optics and the Xenon flash. Zoom up to 20x and the instant photo editor allow every detail to be brought out at its best. What's more, dedicated software uploads your images to the web for immediate printing. Videos are also of good quality, playable with the media player, along with music in various formats and AM/FM radio.
