Nokia N70 review

Network and connections
Nokia N70 is a Dual Mode cell phone, UMTS and Tri-band GSM, equipped with Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a USB port. The device, a powerful and compact third-generation terminal, has notable features and wide compatibility across world networks. The bandwidth available to the user can reach up to 384 KB/s. In addition, N70 is based on the Symbian 8.1 series 60 operating system, known for its great versatility.

Design and features
With this terminal the Finnish company has opted for a candybar design, sturdy and pleasant, with stainless steel finishes and a body in pearl black or silver. The standard package, besides the basic accessories, includes the Nokia Xpress Transfer and Adobe Photoshop Album software, for managing files and photographs on a PC, a memory card with adapter, and stereo headphones. The ease of use, quick learning curve, and smooth menus are a positive asset for the product.

Main features
N70 supports virtually every type of messaging: Sms, Mms and E-mail formats. It also offers polyphonic ringtones, calling features and voice recording. The available memory is 30 MB and is expandable via RS/MMC cards. The display, large and sharp, offers 262000 colors. The 970 mAh lithium-ion battery, on the other hand, allows for a talk time of about 210 minutes and up to 264 hours of standby.

Entertainment and multimedia
Java technology allows the use and installation of various games and applications, more or less well known, even downloading them from the network via the WAP/xHTML browser. The multimedia section is decidedly rich, with a built-in MP3/AAC player and FM radio. The 2 Megapixel camera is excellent, with a sliding cover and 20x digital zoom. There is also an internal camcorder mainly dedicated to video calls.
