Network and connections
Nokia E90 Communicator is a smartphone designed for business users. Like the previous models, Nokia E90 is equipped with the Symbian OS S60 3.1 edition operating system. As for network operation, E90 ensures maximum performance thanks to 3G UMTS support (WCDMA 2100) and GSM compatibility of the Quad Band type (850/900/1800/1900). Data connectivity adds the extremely fast HSDPA to the classic EDGE and GPRS technologies, for a download speed of up to 3.6 MB/s. The large internal display offers a resolution of as much as 800x352 pixels with 16 million colors, while on the outside there's a more classic 240x320 pixel display. As for other connections, the product features wireless Bluetooth technology, infrared (IrDa), a USB port and the less common Wi-Fi wireless compatibility, a great added value.
Design and features
Nokia E90 Communicator features a "console-style" opening design. The phone's body is divided into two overlapping parts: opening the device reveals a large screen and the built-in "Qwerty" keyboard. When closed it looks like a standard cell phone, with a 240x320 pixel screen. The dimensions aren't exactly compact: 132 mm in height, 57 mm in width and 20 mm thick, for a weight of 210 grams. The purchase kit includes an excellent battery, battery charger, stereo headphones, USB cable, additional memory card and manual.
Main features
Nokia E90 Communicator includes an alarm clock, calculator, organizer, built-in speakerphone, voice commands, voice Memo and voice dial. Naturally SMS, MMS and E-mail are supported, with the T9 intuitive writing system. Internal memory is 128 MB, expandable via MicroSD, and a 512 MB card is included. Nokia E90 also features a very useful built-in GPS satellite navigator, which guides the user by choosing the fastest route to reach the destination. Also, thanks to the Nokia maps application, it's possible to easily locate shops, pharmacies, museums and all desired points of interest on a preset map.
Entertainment and multimedia
Nokia E90 Communicator incorporates a multimedia player, capable of playing audio and video files in various formats, including music in MP3, AAC, AMR, MP2, RA (Real Audio), WAV, WMA format and 3GP, AVI, H.263, MPEG-1, MPEG-4, RV (Real Video) movies. The model also features a built-in FM radio, supports polyphonic ringtones, Java games and content download via WAP browser, in addition to offering compatibility with numerous Microsoft Office applications. Nokia E90 is equipped with a built-in camera of as much as 3.2 megapixels, with flash, autofocus, digital zoom and video recording.
