Nokia E60 review

Network and connections

Nokia E60 is a cell phone based on the Symbian series 60 operating system, of the GSM Tri-band type, therefore operating on three different frequencies: 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz. It also belongs to the so-called Dual Mode category, being a terminal with UMTS connectivity. In addition to this technology, it also has EDGE, GPRS connections and the less common Wi-Fi. Nokia E60 also offers a USB port, an infrared port (IrDa) and supports Bluetooth wireless technology. The display is decidedly large, with a resolution of 352x416 pixels and a color rendering of 16 million colors. The battery is a 970 mAh lithium battery, offering a standby autonomy of 190 hours and 6 hours of talk time.

Design and features

Nokia E60 comes as a classic vertical one-piece (candybar) smartphone. Moreover, since this model is mainly intended for business users, it focuses above all on technical qualities rather than on aesthetic lines. The design, in fact, is elegant and sober and the structure compact and slim, with integrated antenna. The purchase kit is completed by the battery charger, the user manual and the headset.

Main features

There are some important features, among which we must mention voice-recognition calling (via dedicated keys), sound recording and push-to-talk, although for this service it is necessary to check availability with your own operator. Another advanced function, also dedicated to business users, is the "multiconference" feature. In addition, the device allows you to make use of video calls and video messages. Compatibility with MS Outlook and Lotus Notes enriches the offering and, as for messaging, finally, this model supports SMS, EMS, MMS and E-mail, with T9 predictive text input. The memory, expandable, is 30 MB.

Entertainment and multimedia

Despite its professional vocation, Nokia E60 allows you to make use of a practical multimedia player, capable of playing MP3 music files and various videos. The model does not have a radio but offers polyphonic ringtones, screensavers and Java games (J2ME), which can also be downloaded through the built-in WAP browser. The versatility of the Symbian operating system is excellent.
