Nokia C2-00 review

Network and connections
Nokia is also opening up to the Dual SIM phone market, which allows users to manage two phone numbers at the same time on the same device. But let's first look at the technical features of the C2-00. It is equipped with a Dualband GSM receiver, on 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies. Signal coverage is good, although it does not allow for intercontinental travel. UMTS support is missing, but it is still possible to browse the Internet thanks to the internal GPRS/EDGE modem. This way the browser will be able to display the relevant pages without any problems. The classic Bluetooth is very handy, for exchanging files with compatible devices.

Design and features
The exterior look is classic and clean, without lines that are too heavy or demanding. The Candybar body keeps dimensions contained, with 14.7 mm of thickness for 74 grams of weight. The edges are rounded to ensure a good grip in any situation. The front houses a 128x160 pixel TFT display, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. Just below is the classic Nokia directional pad, with its function keys. The alphanumeric keyboard is flat, with keys that are comfortable to use.

Main features
The proprietary platform is known for being really simple and intuitive to use. Java support also allows the installation of additional compatible software, so as to better customize your device. Nothing is missing even in the base configuration, though. You can easily write text messages, MMS and E-mail, thanks to T9 support for easier typing. As already mentioned, the C2-00 allows the use of two SIMs at the same time: one housed under the battery, the other on the outer side edge, in a dedicated slot. The latter can also be inserted or removed while the phone is turned on. As for the phone-related aspects, there's no shortage of speakerphone, voice recorder and multi-conference support.

Entertainment and multimedia
A basic phone that is nevertheless capable of offering complete solutions for any user. Hence the presence of a digital camera as well, with VGA resolution. The photos taken will be of acceptable quality, still handy when needed. It is also possible to record short videos. The media player is also present, with support for various audio and video formats. Internal memory is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD cards. There is also an AM/FM radio tuner, complete with RDS function. Battery life is good, guaranteeing up to 396 hours in Stand-by.
