Nokia 8810 review
Network and connections
This is a GSM Mono Band phone, introduced in 1998, which therefore uses only the 900 Mhz frequency band. Being a fairly old phone, it does not support GPRS for data transfer. Unfortunately, this cell phone cannot be connected in any way to another device since it lacks both a USB port and wireless connectivity. There is only an infrared port. The display is monochrome with 5 lines of text, with very low resolution. The included battery is a 600 mAh lithium-ion battery.
Design and features
Nokia 8810 is a cell phone with a simple design, featuring a primordial clamshell opening form only as regards the keypad. The main functions are instantly accessible thanks to the function keys. As for its dimensions, this is a compact phone, despite the external antenna. Specifically, it measures 107 millimeters in height, 46 millimeters in width and 18 millimeters in depth. The weight, including the battery, is 118 grams. The purchase kit includes a travel charger and user manual.
Main features
The Nokia 8810 cell phone offers several basic features and few advanced ones. The phone is in fact equipped with an alarm clock, calendar, date function and organizer. In addition, it allows the use of only SMS, but not concatenated ones and without any predictive text system; it also does not support email. The memory, which unfortunately is not expandable, is very limited. The phonebook stores up to 250 contacts.
Entertainment and multimedia
Nokia 8810 offers very little in terms of leisure and entertainment. This cell phone has no music player and the only entertainment possibility is therefore represented by the various built-in games. It should be noted, however, that it is not possible to download additional games from the Internet, due to the absence of a browser, beyond those pre-installed. As for ringtones, there are 35 available, but only monophonic ones. Finally, the customization options for backgrounds and melodies themselves are decent. There is of course no built-in camera.
