Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism is a cell phone dedicated to business users as well as private ones. The new handset is a Dual Mode device, capable of automatically switching from the UMTS network to GSM, and vice versa, to make the most of the line's data transfer capabilities (also thanks to EDGE and GPRS support). Being a Quad-band device, it can operate on the GSM frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. The USB interfaces and Bluetooth wireless connections make this product highly versatile, while the added value is provided by 3G connectivity.

Design and features

Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism offers the quality and attention to detail that have always distinguished the Finnish company's products. Moreover, it can boast an elegant, standard-type design, with a structure that resembles that of a jewel. The thickness is just 11.3 mm while the weight, including the battery, is 101 grams. As for colors, a Black color is expected to be available, with purplish-toned inserts in the "Prism" patterns. The antenna is of the integrated type and the package includes a USB cable and a headset.

Main features

The features of Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism cover a wide range of possibilities. These include sending and managing Sms, Ems, Mms and E-mail messages, with the addition of video message support and the T9 predictive text system. The available memory, moreover, is as much as 1 GB and is not expandable via MicroSD cards. Also very good is the 16-million-color OLED display, as is the integrated battery, capable of providing continuous and reliable power.

Entertainment and multimedia

Crystal Prism, unlike many Nokia models, does not have an integrated FM radio. The device does, however, offer a capable MP3 music file player, as well as an MPEG-4 player for viewing video clips (compressed in this format for optimal viewing on cell phones and i-pods). The built-in Java technology, moreover, allows for the installation of numerous compatible games and applications. Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism is also equipped with a digital camera. This features a 2 Megapixel sensor, capable of capturing perfectly sharp and detailed images. The resolution of the internal video camera is instead lower, as it is specifically designed for video calls.
