Nokia 7710 review

Network and connections

Nokia 7710 is a Tri-band GSM phone, using the 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies. It also features EDGE and GPRS technology for data transfer. There are also two ways to connect to a compatible device, the first via USB cable and the second via wireless Bluetooth connectivity. The display available is large, to be used horizontally, with a very high resolution: 640x320 pixels and 65 thousand colors. The battery is a 1300 mAh lithium battery.

Design and equipment

The design of this device is quite unusual. The display, wide and arranged horizontally, is completely devoid of a numeric keypad, so to dial phone numbers, it is enough to press on the display itself. Instead, there are various function keys positioned around the screen. In addition, the brightness and contrast of the display are adjustable. The overall dimensions are not particularly compact. In fact, it measures 128 millimeters in height, 69 millimeters in width and 19 millimeters in depth. The weight, on the other hand, is 189 grams, battery included, and the antenna is internal. The sales package, very rich, includes a travel charger, user manual, PC connection kit and an additional 128 MB memory card.

Main features

The features available on this phone are numerous. For example, there is an integrated speakerphone, multiconferencing and a voice recorder. The model also has a push-to-talk function to use it as if it were a walkie-talkie, as well as an alarm clock, calculator and organizer. Finally, this phone supports all types of messages: SMS, MMS and E-mail, with T9 intuitive writing. The internal memory is 90 MB, expandable via Multimedia Card.

Entertainment and multimedia

Nokia 7710 features a multimedia player capable of reading files in various formats, including MP3, AAC, Midi, Amr, Real, Mpeg. It also has a built-in FM radio, polyphonic ringtones, screensavers and Java games, which can also be downloaded via the built-in WAP browser. The built-in camera has a 1 megapixel sensor, with 2x digital zoom. Unfortunately, the device does not have a flash. However, there is a function that adjusts brightness and contrast, a self-timer, an image editor and, finally, the photo caller ID feature. Finally, this model is able to shoot video clips, even of a certain length.
