Network and connections
A good quality phone, equipped with elements and technical characteristics of note in proportion to the sale price. The 7610 Supernova is a GSM Quadband phone, capable of operating on the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz frequencies. In this way, excellent signal coverage is guaranteed in any condition. Unfortunately, support for the UMTS network is missing. Internet browsing is guaranteed by the presence of the internal modem, as well as by the WAP browser. It is therefore possible to easily open Web pages, taking advantage of data transfer via GPRS or EDGE. Clearly, Bluetooth is also present, as well as the output for the USB 2.0 cable.

Design and features
Nokia has always distinguished itself for design customization, through interchangeable covers. This phone from the Finnish company also offers the possibility of changing its face, even though it is a device with a vertical Slider opening. On the upper part is the display, a 2-inch QVGA TFT, which displays up to 16 million colors. The dimensions have been kept fairly compact, with a thickness of 15 mm for a weight of 99 grams. Furthermore, the lines and edges are rounded, so as to guarantee good portability. Inside, the standard numeric keypad is revealed, with simple and well-distinct keys. A Pad below the screen allows instead to manage the phone, together with the usual Nokia function keys. In the sales package there is a 512 MB memory card, as well as the headphones and the USB cable.

Main features
The 7610 Supernova comes with the Series 40 platform, simple, fast and lightweight. Although it is not the most complete Symbian, it still offers a remarkable expansion possibility, also thanks to Java support. The classic management functions, such as contacts list, appointment calendar, alarm clock and currency converter, are not missing. The voice aspect, however, shows a small flaw due to the poor quality of the speakerphone. Nothing to say, instead, about the good audio quality of standard calls, even in multi-conference. Worth highlighting is the Theme Colorizer function, which adapts the screen tones based on a photograph taken. It is thus possible, for example, to match the phone to the outfit for the evening, to the mood of the moment, or to a particular situation. The classic T9 for the easy writing of SMS and multimedia messages, as well as for composing E-mails, is very fast and reliable.

Entertainment and multimedia
A phone certainly not dedicated to business users, but with excellent characteristics that make the 7610 Supernova a phone suited to multimedia entertainment. On the back, in fact, there is a 3.2 megapixel camera, capable of taking good quality photographs, also thanks to the LED Flash and autofocus. The available memory is 64 MB, but easily expandable with microSD type cards. In this way, it is also possible to carry your favorite music with you, to be played back faithfully with the multimedia player. Furthermore, there is support for receiving radio signals, to listen to FM radio stations, also relying on the RDS function. The lithium battery guarantees an autonomy of 300 hours in Stand-by.
