Nokia 7610 review
The Finnish Company presented at CeBIT 2004 the new SmartPhone of the Nokia range; housed in a ruby and onyx two-tone cover, the Nokia 7610, slim and elegant, offers the possibility of quickly and conveniently shooting, printing, saving and sending photographic-quality images and videos, in addition to the advantages of the Series 60 platform. This is because for the first time on a Nokia phone a digital camera with graphic definition higher than 1 million pixels has been integrated, making this cell phone a true device for complete image processing. The quality of the offer is also guaranteed by the presence of 4X digital Zoom, self-timer, and the Kodak Pictures application, which makes it possible to create photo albums on the Web.
The Nokia 7610 offers a 65,536-color display (176x208 pixels) for viewing images and videos shot with the integrated camera and for streaming video in real time using the built-in RealOne mobile player. Bringing your photos onto paper will be a breeze: all you have to do is decide whether to do it with a compatible printer via the wireless Bluetooth connection, or by using a printing kiosk available at authorized Nokia points of sale. But that's not all, of course! The Nokia 7610 is also a small but complete pocket computer, which includes the ability to manage mail, browse the Web and download as well as install an incredible number of applications specific to every need.
Another innovation available for the Nokia 7610 is the Nokia Lifeblog application, an automatic digital diary always at hand, which records and organizes digital content - such as images, videos or messages - creating a personal log or a multimedia reminder directly on the cell phone. Once the data has been transferred to Lifeblog on the PC, it is possible to search the multimedia diary with a horizontal overview, or share the recorded notes with friends and relatives via e-mail. Or again, using the Movie Director application, it is now possible, for the first time, to transform video clips shot with the Nokia 7610 into customized movies with the addition of special effects, such as music, text, new colors and moving objects. The application automatically combines multiple clips into a single video or optimizes edited videos for sending via MMS.
Other key features of the Nokia 7610 are enhanced Multimedia Messaging, the MP3/AAC player, the Internet browser, 72MB memory expandable thanks to support for MMC cards, and the very high degree of connectivity, made possible by the USB port, Bluetooth technology and Java support. This small and slim cell phone (108.6x5x18.7 mm), weighing 118 grams and with a volume of 93 cc, also offers 900 mAh Li-Ion batteries capable of guaranteeing up to 3 hours of talk time, and 250 hours of standby. Furthermore, thanks to the wide range of applications designed for devices based on Nokia's Symbian Series 60 platform, it is possible to customize your Nokia 7610 with any application that can satisfy your creativity.
