Nokia 7260 review
Network and connections
The Nokia 7260 cell phone was presented in 2004. In terms of network and connections, when it comes to GSM connections, it can operate on three different frequencies, that of 900 and those of 1800 and 1900 Mhz. The absence of a fourth frequency makes the model unusable in some areas of the planet. In addition to this, there is only the presence of a Wap browser of type 2.0, which allows access to supported Web pages, and a GPRS type connection, as well as connection via USB port.
Design and features
With a weight of 92 grams and dimensions of 105 millimeters in height, 45 millimeters in width, 18 millimeters in thickness, the 7260 reduces what were the bulk standards of the period. With a standard design and a keyboard with very spaced out keys of large size, it features at the top a TFT display with 65,000 colors and 128x128 pixels with 5 lines of text. It comes equipped with a 760 mAh battery with a battery life of 350 hours in stand-by and 3 hours when talking.
Main functions
The ability to record voice memos, in order to associate them with contacts present in the address book, to then make the call by repeating the recorded name, is one of the features of this model. Supported messaging includes SMS and MMS, as well as Instant Messaging, and there is the T9 quick writing software and the Chat mode available. Converter, calculator and image editor complete the offer.
Entertainment and multimedia
There are two preinstalled games: Glamour Pinball and Backgammon. To these, through Wap connectivity, other games can be added via download. The Composer allows you to create new ringtones in addition to those, 16-tone polyphonic, already built in. There are 6 tone levels for the ringtones and 10 different volume levels. The internal address book stores up to 500 x 10 contacts and keeps track of the last 20 dialed calls, the last 10 missed and the last 10 received. The multimedia aspect is handled by an FM radio and a modest VGA camera with a resolution of 0.3 Megapixel (640x480).
