Nokia 7250 review
Network and connections
Nokia 7250 is classified as a GSM Tri-Band type cellular phone: that is, it is able to receive and make calls on the 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies. Network connectivity is achieved through HSCSD support, as well as GPRS. Unfortunately, wireless connections such as Bluetooth are not available, but there is an infrared port. Connection to a computer via cable is also impossible, since the phone does not have a USB port.
Design and features
The Nokia 7250 cell phone belongs to the category of phones with standard or candybar design. This particular structure does not protect the screen from scratches and impacts and increases the phone's resistance to external agents. The design is simple but with modern lines, with an integrated antenna. It is a compact and very lightweight device. The upper part of the body is occupied by the CSTN display with 4096 colors; at the bottom, instead, is the alphanumeric keypad.
Main features
During a call, Nokia 7250 does not allow the use of hands-free mode due to the absence of an integrated speaker. However, it allows communication with multiple connected devices through the multiconference function. The phone also has a voice recorder, calendar, alarm clock and calculator. As for messaging, Nokia 7250 supports most of the current standards: it is in fact able to receive and send Sms, Ems and Mms, all easily composed thanks to the built-in intuitive writing software.
Entertainment and multimedia
Nokia 7250 offers its users a rather small number of customizations, due to the limited connectivity and the heavily limited memory: only 725 Kb non-expandable. Through the WAP browser it is possible to download new content, such as wallpapers, logos, polyphonic ringtones and screensavers. The phone supports the latest development in Java technology for cell phones (J2ME) but has only two games installed. Nokia 7250, moreover, cannot serve as a music entertainment device since it lacks a multimedia player, despite having an FM radio. The entertainment options are therefore extremely limited, also due to the low resolution of the camera (CIF, 352x288 pixels).
